- SRA Solicitors Register
The Solicitors Regulation Authority's register of the solicitors and law firms it regulates. The page says you can use it to check whether someone is a solicitor and where they work, whether the SRA regulates a firm, and whether a firm has been closed down or a person prohibited from practising.

SRA search for published regulatory decisions about solicitors and firms, by name or SRA ID. The page notes that not all decisions are published and that decisions generally stay on the site for three years.
- Criminal Law Solicitors’ Association (CLSA)
The CLSA says it is the only national association entirely committed to professionals working in the field of criminal law, and that it represents criminal practitioners throughout England and Wales.
- London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association
The London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association. The site says it was established in 1948, and that an objective is to encourage and maintain the highest standards of advocacy and practice in the criminal courts in and around London.
- The Law Society — criminal justice
The Law Society’s criminal justice section. It includes practice notes and the Criminal Litigation Accreditation, which the page calls a recognised quality standard for practitioners in criminal litigation.
- Kent Law Society
Kent Law Society says it supports lawyers, legal professionals, trainees and law students living or practising in Kent. The site says it was established in 1818 and offers membership, events, training and job vacancies.
- Criminal Bar Association
The Criminal Bar Association says it exists to represent the views and interests of specialist criminal barristers in England and Wales.
- Legal Aid Practitioners Group
LAPG says it is a membership body representing legal aid practitioners in England and Wales and the clients they serve.
- The Bar Council
The General Council of the Bar, commonly known as the Bar Council. The site says it is the representative body for barristers in England and Wales.
- Bar Standards Board
The Bar Standards Board regulates barristers and specialised legal services businesses in England and Wales, in the public interest.
- The Howard League for Penal Reform
The Howard League for Penal Reform. Its site says it wants less crime, safer communities, and fewer people in prison, and a more humane and effective response to crime in England and Wales.
- JUSTICE
JUSTICE describes itself as a UK-based law reform charity working to strengthen the rule of law, protect human rights, and ensure fair legal systems.
- Legal Aid Agency
The Legal Aid Agency administers the legal aid scheme in England and Wales. It is an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice.
- National Appropriate Adult Network
A charity working for a fairer justice system for children and vulnerable adults through effective appropriate adults.
