Actus reus

  • Cause serious injury to another by driving an MPV dangerously on a road or other public place (RTA 1988, s.1A). Serious injury in E&W means physical harm amounting to GBH.

Mens rea

  • Dangerous driving (s.2A). No need to intend serious injury.
